Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the youngest national park in Nepal, which is established in 2002AD. The youngest national park is covered 159km2 four districts where Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Sindupalchock, and Dhading adjoining 23 VDC. This national park is located in the north of the mid-hills border for the Capital city of Kathmandu Valley and Shivapuri Peak 2732mtrs entry gate from Budhanilkantha.

Have a breakfast in your hotel then drive to Nagarjun gate, it takes around an hour from tourism center point Thamel, and then we start to walk inside the park, we walk through Nagi Gumba which is nuns monastery then climb up on the right to Deurali Bhanjyang when we arrive in this place we have our pack lunch, then left to Bag Dwar (water from head of Tiger) then 30-40m walk to top of Shivapuri Peak 2730 mtrs from where you can see all Kathmandu valley. We can see such amazing view of those ranges and mountains Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang and Jugal Himal towards the direct north. Manaslu 8163 mtrs/ 8th highest in the world was sticking out of the extensive Himalayan peaks towards the south and it is best day hike around Kathmandu Valley and it is around 6-7 hours day walk.
